i live inside
i live inside a rosebud my limbs bend to fit between the wino red petals. i am waiting with aching head broken bones mole eyes and brick soul for life to unlock my floral cell let a sunrise as wide as the west rest against my pale shivering body, a sunrise flow without bounds-mythical ocean that devoured ships and bred creatures the size of long island- the irradescant glow of slow smirk from wild eyed girl you know could love you with exact intensity as the dark 2 am sky, which is as deep as the sunrise is wide. i am waiting for those nails to pry apart the folds and release my scent into the world, but by then i will be old with wrinkles and folds of my own, and then i'd have to ask: was this sun as beautiful as what others told?
