saltines beware of parrots.

the lake dissipates
migrated into the blue of atmosphere
while lust palpitates
tongue salivates
and sinful salutations elevate
cumbersome mediocrity into Joe Handsome
whose existence is mere domination of collected molecules
that fuels attentive distractions
from the mildew that mends his mind.
perverse comfort caressing the weathered ledge
and finding moisture
more like slick residue from grief
as spittle trickles beneath the willful weight of gravity
