In the eyes of the most precious, delicate; soft-skinned; benevolent, enigmatic girls is where wishes are made. People may wish on stars, candles but their desires fall far from granted. The proper course is to find a pair of these eyes and whisper so tenderly your wish. It then is sent through the wires of dreams as the drapes fall over the pupil as the girl sleeps. At the end of night the wish returns and settles on a strand of hair, if the wish was well enough to be granted, and during the progress of day the hair loosens and drifts from the girl to find the wisher and ensure it has come to pass. There are times when the wishes cannot be fulfilled. Complications, selfishness of desire, death, life already came forth with the wisher’s desire, are at times the cause for incompleteness. These unfortunates fall from the eyes through the night. It is said that within those dried wishes is the ingredient for regret, gathered from the pillow casing below their head. Powdered and released into the air, inhaled throughout the day. This is the cause for those stray hairs that linger after she’s gone. Remnants of wishes she had given to you, and the feeling of despair that you feel in the air.
